Invitation

The Organizing committee of the "14 th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival" has the honor to invite you to participate in this prestigious event which includes several Grandmasters, International Masters and rated tournament, The program is as follows:

Venue: The Festival is held in the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi, in The heart of the city.

Date: 13 August (arrival) 14th Aug. 1st round. 24 Aug. Closing ceremony, 25 Aug. Departure.

Organizers: Cultural Foundation & Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture club with full technical and administrational supervision.

Festival events:

a) Master tournament.(Special invitation & Rated players)  9 rounds Swiss system 90 Minutes + 30 Seconds per move,Total Prizes: More than 11000$, 1st = 3500$. Special Conditions for GM's Elo +2600!

b) Open Tournament (Men+ under 16)  9 round Swiss system, 90 minutes for entire game. Total Prizes: More than 11000(UAE Dhs)

c) Children Tournament open for children's under 12 years old, 7 rounds Swiss system, Time limit is 60 minutes for each player with unlimited moves. prizes 2300 (UAE Dhs)

d) Blitz tournament: open for all rated and unrated players. Total prizes 3500 (UAE Dhs)

14th Abu Dhabi Chess Festival will start 14 August 2004, and as last year this will be five separate tournament  Master tournament, Open Tournament, Children Tournament, Blitz tournament and some simultaneous tournament.

To participate in the Festival please fill the registration form and send also copy of your passport by E-Mail or Fax. For further information's : participants can send email to adchess@emirates.net.ae

Grand master Sargissian and Lputian and Yemelin have Special invitation  for the next year.

Grandmaster Gabriel Sargissian won the competition with 7 point from 9. Lputian, Yemelin, Kutsor and Harikrishna with 6.5 stand at the next stages.

WIM  Ghaderpour won the open tournament with 8.5 from 9!

Pourya Derini  won the children tournament with 6.5 from 7.
